MARINE CLAIMS SPECIALIST

We are looking for a professional with more than 8 years of experience within Insurance Companies, Loss Adjusters, Brokers, International Shipping Companies, etc to lead a team of marine claims handlers. This position has an international scope and offers clear opportunities for growth and impact on the business. 

We’re seeking for individuals with strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic vision to lead our team to the next level.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of marine claims Handlers, providing support, and technical guidance.

  • Recovery handling for large and complex marine claims.

  • Manage and coordinate claims in a timely and professional manner on behalf of insurers, reinsurers, and/or traders.

  • Nurture an environment of high performance, empowerment, accountability, and alignment, managing and guiding a team towards achieving the organization’s goals.

  • Understand and effectively communicate BARBUSS value proposition and culture.


Requirements:

  • Previous experience of at least 8 years handling marine claims for International Loss Adjusters, Insurance Companies, Brokers, International Shipping Companies, etc.

  • Fluent or Native English (oral and written) mandatory

  • Effective diary/time management skills.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

  • This position requires people who are results-oriented, dynamic, proactive, with experience in collaborative organizational culture, and flexible to adapt to evolving scenarios.
