We seek qualified professionals to help the management of  BARBUSS to gain new insights and advice to solve business problems, apply the group’s initiatives or explore new opportunities by stimulating honest and high-quality conversations during the meetings.

 As an Advisory Board Member you shall limit its activities to advising on issues that directly concern such matters. It is the role and sole prerogative of the Board to enact policy and recommendations.

This position requires expert knowledge, critical thinking and analysis to ensure that the decision makers at BARBUSS comply with the Company’s mission, purpose, history and culture.



Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide advice to the board of directors and special committees on valuing complex businesses and projects, understanding and structuring critical alternatives.

  • Identify emerging trends, latest techniques and opportunities in the industry to help inform the organization’s decision-making.

  • Suggest new initiatives, products, or services that align with the organization’s culture.

  • Raise the organization’s profile and visibility within the industry.

  • Share their experiences, lessons learned, and best practices to help the leadership team grow and develop.

  • Help with market research, competitive analysis, or feasibility assessments.


Requirements:

  • Remote location (global scope)
  • A proven track record in scaling up oriented companies,  solid understanding of financing structures designed for  business growth, enabling businesses to thrive in competitive markets and global experience with a diverse multicultural background.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English is required, as this will be the primary language used in the advisory board meetings and discussions.
  • Strategic Mindset: Successful candidates will demonstrate strong strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to provide high-level guidance and oversight to the organization. 


Time Commitment:

They should attend the ten (10) meetings of the Advisory Board throughout the calendar year, aiming at holding each meeting in separate calendar months (each meeting to last approximately 3 hours; date and time to be mutually agreed upon by the parties). 

Unless it is specifically required by the MD to hold a meeting in-person, all the meetings held by the Advisory Board shall be via videoconference, or by other means of remote communication.

The contract can be renewed up to three times by the end of the year.

Starting date: January 2025
