MARINE UNDERWRITER
We are looking for an ambitious professional with at least one year of experience in similar roles to join our underwriting team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring our underwriting processes are efficient, compliant, and technically sound.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a foundational understanding of risk who is ready to develop deep technical expertise and help us solidify our position as a leader in the Marine industry.
Responsibilities:
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate insurance applications for both inland and international transits (Cargo). You will analyze commodities, routes, packing methods, and the reliability of vessels/carriers.
- Portfolio Maintenance: Assist in the renewal process by reviewing loss ratios and updated risk exposures for our existing client base.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to provide technical support for business development and new client acquisition.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the development of risk assessment strategies and ensure all files comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of previous experience within Insurance and underwriting experience
- Fluent English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
